Background & Concept

Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are found to be more likely to launch new products and services when they successfully collaborate with external partners. SMEs also experience substantial effects from the sales of new products and services generated through Open Innovation.

SME Crowdsourcing Lab aims at providing an environment in which Danish SMEs

Team & Specialists

Behind SME Crowdsourcing Lab stands a strong team of both experts and practitioners

Christoph Grimpe

Christoph Grimpe is a Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
His research focuses on business strategies, open innovation and the strategic use of appropriability regimes.

Daiana F. Nielsen

Daiana F. Nielsen is the co-founder of the Danish Crowdsourcing and works as a consultant, helping businesses understand and use crowdsourcing. Daiana is also connected with CBS where she is an external lecturer and has just started her PhD in crowdsourcing on Ludwig Bolzmann Gesellschaft in Wien.

Flemming B. Gammelgaard

Flemming Binderup Gammelgaard is the co-founder of the Danish Crowdsourcing and is associated with Aarhus University, where he researches innovation, crowdsourcing, and crowdfunding. Flemming is also an executive consultant at VIA University College.

Karin Beukel

Karin Beukel is Assistant Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Copenhagen and lecturer at CBS. She has a Ph.D. in Economics and Management. In her research, she works with the intersection between innovation and intellectual property rights.

Kristine Pontoppidan

Kristine Pontoppidan is the CEO of Ninja Consult, where she normally works with companies that want to use crowdfunding in their development. Kristine Pontoppidan has an affiliation with SME Crowdsourcing LAB as a project manager.

Marion Poetz

Marion Poetz is Associate Professor of Innovation Management at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Scientific Director of Open Innovation in Science Research and Competence Center (OIS Center). Her research focuses on strategy, management, organization and problem solving with new innovation methods.
